Is there any sense in getting a bigger PSU than I actually need?

Here's my build:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($176.95 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus H97M-PLUS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($148.50 @ Amazon)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($83.99 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($97.84 @ Amazon)
Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 380 4GB Double Dissipation Video Card ($233.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair Air 240 MicroATX Mid Tower Case ($79.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA GS 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($69.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $891.24

My question is; would I be better off getting a 650W or even a 750W PSU, as the price only differs with about 15$, for future-proofing?

Solution
Seeing as crossfire and CPU overclocking are not an option then not really. If getting a PSU with smart fan controls you might find a larger PSU that is operating at a lower % of its max load can run at a lower fan speed or with the fan completely off more of the time which could make it quieter but its really not anything significant.

Not really.... Even with the 550w you are still capable of upgrading your GPU to a "larger" model and still be ok. It is also important to note that you are looking at a quality unit with a true rating. If you were considering a less than desired Corsiar CX model, then yeah... up the wattage. For your non-overclocking, single GPU system the 550w is great.

Of note... That PSU retails at $90 and currently has a $20 rebate. If you don't want to deal with the rebate, there is an XFX Gold 550w for $75 (which is also a top tier PSU made by Seasonic).

I'm probably gonna stick with the SuperNOVA.

But I was actually thinking more about future GPUs. Will they be needing more power or is that impossible to tell at the moment?

a new bigger stronger PSU is only 30% of a single power hungry graphics card anyways, so i don't think it matter that much (at all) today, especially since for a SINGLE gpu you'd be ok as-is, and only for a dual or triple would you likely need a new psu.
