My old asus 9500GT fan is quite loud at 60%. The temp is around 41C idle and goes up to 52C when in game. I know it's an old card and found others with similar problem were able to fix the noisy fan by lubricating the bearings. However there is no opening in the fan (I've done this with other fans but this one is just a plastic casing on both sides) so I couldnt fix it.

Edit: According to this video, the bearings can be accessed by pulling it apart..

Would it be worth it to try fixing the fan according to the vid or just bear with the fan noise?

Solution
I cannot recommend this as GPU fans are highly sensitive and you may make the issue worse. I would either put up with the fan noise or look to purchase a similar card. This may sound silly, but also check to ensure that all clear protective film is removed from the card - I had this issue several years ago and finally discovered that clear, protective shipping film that I had missed and failed to remove was causing noise, humming, the works.

Good luck.
