Can't boot from my newly cloned SSD.

I got my new sandisk 240GB SSD today, I used EaseUS Todo to clone my C: drive to the SSD, however when I try to boot from the SSD, it boots from the HDD instead. I've disconnected the HDD and forced it to boot from SSD but all it says is, 'Insert correct boot device' or something along those lines. Help needed!

This is my disk management screen if it's any help.

Sounds like your BIOS is still looking for the old HDD (or SSD)

Open BIOS, change your boot order & ensure your new SSD is boot option #1.

If that doesn't work, your clone may not have worked as expected.
For SSDs, it's always recommended to perform a clean install rather than cloning, so if you can't get it to boot by changing the boot priority in BIOS, back up your data & perform a clean install.

Oh, good spot! I hadn't even noticed he only cloned the C: portion.

This is one of the (many) reasons a clean install is preferred

i've been using EaseUS ToDo for quite awhile and love it - but since the release or development of UEFI BIOSs, when i clone my OS drive (which i do weekly), it won't boot off the clone drive unless i remember to select "sector by sector" at the bottom of the 2nd page where you select your target drive.

If i do forget, i can still boot if i insert the windows dvd, reboot and then on the first screen select "repair installation" - i'm not sure if boot files are omitted or corrupted in non sector by sector clones

sector by sector is a more thorough clone though
