Hi guys hope someone can help.

Attempting to do a clean of this ancient laptop circa 2004/5. From the research across the internet gathered regular cleaning would aid the lifespan of this older laptop as excess dust build up can cause the the internal temperature to rise beyond a certain limit damaging various parts.

Removed back-cover & rear fascia (it looks dusty inside having never been cleaned)
Processor fan has dust on fins
Processor Heat pipe and output (3) look intact
Processor Sink looks attached
Graphic fan masked by metal shield is very dusty.

Looks like I need to remove metal shield over graphic fan.

It looks like its held 4 locations on the shield
2 screws (1 top, 1 side) that I have removed
At the 2nd point on the side at position marked 3 marked on the shield but nothing present
On the bottom opposite the first screw but spot welded to the chassis but that doesn't make sense

See attached images

Solution
I doubt spot welding, more likely would be the use of double sided tape or clips. The pictures don't seem to help much but there does appear to be clips holding it in place

Have worked it out !
There a 4 screws in total that hold the shield
The screws 1 and 2 that I could unscrew as shown in those poor images (sorry only iphone)
There are 2 further screws that are accessible as follows :

3rd and 4th screw

Pushing the bracket that holds the DVD drive between the motherboard and the shield allow the DVD drive to side free.
Once free, the screws tops are shown
Unscrewing both allows the shield to lift clear to show the motherboard, heatsink and fan.
