Ram doesn't show correct speed

I tried going into the BIOS and set my RAM to 1333 and it keeps going back to 666. >_< What can i do to change this?

Bear in mind that DDR3 (and DDR4) memory has a Double Data Rate, so when it's running at 666 MHz, the data rate is 1333 MT/s. So if you're looking in two places that show the actual clocks and the data rate, the latter will always be twice as much as the former.

So even though it shows 666 Mhz, it's actually running at 1333 Mhz all the time? I used Speecy and another monitoring program and they both show it as being 666 Mhz. Now, in the BIOS it shows 1333 Mhz. So am I correct to say that Speecy and my other programs is showing the wrong speed, and that the BIOS is showing the correct speed of 1333 Mhz?

So it is actually running at 1333 MHz, though, right?

OH okay. So it's showing 666 Mhz and double that is about 1333 MHz? So that means that my RAM is always 1333 MHz? I just never heard talk about this before.

Thanks so much for relieving me of the worry! ^^ I appreciate it!

Speccy and the other programs are showing the correct clock frequency in MHz. Your BIOS is showing the correct data rate, but mislabels it as the clock frequency in MHz. The proper unit is MT/s. But mixing these up is unfortunately very common. You're far from the first person who got confused by this.
