Im wondering if it would be worth the $180 to upgrade my fx-6300 @4.7ghz to a fx-8350 and overclock it to get better bottom end fps and overall better fps with my R9 280x Crossfire setup?

Solution
The extra module (two processing threads) on the FX-8320 would be nice, but I would say not to upgrade because that $180 goes a long way toward a new MB+CPU and your FX-6300 @ 4.7GHz isn't exactly weak. Stick with what you have...
yes I had the same setup on a 6300 @4.7 with my 7970s. upgrading did help a bit but you will still see some fps drops in demanding games with amds cpus.

it all depends on the games really.

I would grab a used cpu if you can find one, you may run into issues with that h80 though if you want to run that high

How is your 9370 compare to the 6300??

ehh i Should have stayed with my 8320 before it, I got it for a good deal at the time but it only over clocks a hair higher than my 8320, my 8320 I was stable at 4.7 or so with less than 1.5v takes 1.56 for 4.8 on my 9370.

they run really hot at those voltages.
