Time to upgrade gpus? What is a good option?

I have 2 780s and I have noticed that my vram is almost being maxed out on 1080p so I thought MAYBE its time to upgrade to something more recent, but I don't really know what!

I'm thinking between

R9 fury x

R9 fury

980ti

2x 390

Do you guys have preferences, or should I even bother upgrading?

Depends on your budget and for 1080P you can go with a GTX 970 .... that GPU should be enough for 1080 gaming

It's not similar these 2 have totally different architectectures and totally different GPU's ..... this card should easily max all the games at 1080p.
The cards you specified there are made to deal with 4k gaming so there is no point in buying one of them.
But your 780 shoud deal pretty well with 1080p gaming so you can still stay with that.

I think a gtx 970 is more of a shift sideways than anything, and 2 780s > 1 970.
I would wait unless you upgrade your monitor above 1080p.

It comes to your preference the AMD uses more power but has 8 Gb of VRam and the Nvidia comes with only 4 Gb's of Vram but uses less power and can be overclocked better.
And now I saw that you have 2 780's - that is overkill for 1080p gaming still .. you can go up to 1440p easily and even 4K with your setup

Honestly, you have an excellent setup at 1080p - I would not upgrade until the VRAM actually *becomes* an issue.
