As the title describes I wish to know if anyone playing Wow or Heroes of the Storm,has any of the two processors mentioned above in his rig and if he/she can provide some insight as to how they compare with a Pentium G3258 for example. I do already know that the 7850K is essentially an 860K with an integrated graphics chip but I watched a video on YouTube from Tek Syndicate saying that you can boost performance with AMD's APU's. The video was saying that if you use high frequency RAM memory and lots of it (say 2x4 GB) for a total of 8GB, then you can share some of the system memory with the GPU's video memory. However I'm not totally convinced that it would fit my purpose. So to recap, if anyone has been using or is still using either of the CPU's mentioned above to play MMO's and MOBAS,please report your findings. By the way I wish to play both games in at least High Settings 60+ FPS.

Thanks in advance

Solution
WoW does not need much to run well, except in raids, and there is a second graphics tab in the game to reduce those settings due to the large number of players and mobs within a relatively small area, with all of the spell graphics and all. So those should do ok for you.

I have a GTX 770, and I am getting 100 FPS in most areas of the game on ultra settings. So those cards should be able to run at high settings and at least get 60 FPS. Raids, probably would need to go to low on some things, medium to high on others, and still get about 60 FPS.

I don't play Heroes of the Storm, but I hear its pretty easy on video cards.

As stated above, WoW does not require a lot to run well, however sometimes high-end components suffer because the game is poorly coded.

For the performance comparison of the 7850k vs G3258 here is a review - keeping in mind that the Athlon X4 750K is close to the same CPU without integrated graphics;

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pentium-g3258-overclocking-performance,3849.html

High frequency Ram AMD CPU's tend to take advantage of and is useful, and you can use Ram as 'Vram' for GPU's, but it isn't necessary as by the time more Vram is acquired the core itself is already struggling, making the added Vram useless. To also note using System RAM as Vram adds little to no difference simply because the speed of it is much, much slower. As well as already having other tasks to compensate to as well.

Comparing the GTX 950 to integrated graphics, your already way ahead in terms of graphics performance. The difference is a lot for the majority of games, for the two you listed it's still reasonably ahead. Cant really give a figure, as estimations are always inaccurate due to un-supplied information - i.e. settings/resolution's ect. However, safe to assure that the there will be performance difference noticeable.

I have A10 7700K, 2400mhz speed RAM (almost same as 7850K) it's play WoW High some medium more than 40 fps on quiet area and 30 fps while Raiding and BG. I play HoTS too and beleive me you cant play it All high or ultra more than 30 fps. You have to be medium to some low to have constant 60 fps (cause MOBA need 60 fps). Better you go X4 860K R7 260X combo than invest in high speed RAM and get lower performance than this combo, except you cant use individual GPU or need to reduce heat inside case
