My cpu fan just recently died on me, so I decided a replacement based on PC part picker. I ordered the Coolmaster 212 fan based on it's high ratings and apparent compatibility with my motherboard. Although on removing my old fan and attempting to install the new one, I realized that all of the screws included with the Coolmaster are too big to install in my Asus z87-a (the x mount screws are the only ones that fit; the included screws that I need to elevate the heatsink are too big). I've been searching around for a lot, but I can't seem to find anyone else who has had this issue. Is this a defect on my motherboard, the fan, or is this just an incompatibility that has not been noticed yet? Is there anywhere that I could order the correct screws?
