Hello everyone,

I just got ahold of a mini pcie drive online and I'm having a bit of an issue. It's an ADATA 24gb SSD:

I've got it in a Gateway E-155c. It has what i assume to be two mini pcie slots.

One came factory holding a wifi module. I've tried the drive in both slots and get the same result, a blank screen when i turn it on. I don't even get an option to enter the bios. Without it inserted it boots normally in windows xp tablet edition. Removing the main drive with the sad installed results in the same outcome

Solution
Just because you have a Mini PCIe Slot DOESN"T MEAN it will run a mini PCIe SSD! If this thing is running windows XP No way. These SSD'd didnt even exist then.

Send it back. It WILL NOT WORK. This laptop doesn't support booting from mini PCIe to begin with.
