So i have a dell inspiron 530 i used to have 3GB of ram but one day the new ram that i had suddenlty stoped working? i really dont know but my pc would not boot up and it would start making a biping noise im not sure but i think it was coming from the graphics card and also the fans and everything worked at their fullest when i booted up the pc with that ram (meaning that my pc would not stop trying to cool its self?) anyhow when i removed the ram stick the pc worked just fine when i try to put it back again it does the same the ram stick that i used was a GEIL 1GB DDR2 800Mhz the ram looks like its a high quality ram it even has a cooler around it i find it weird that it died so quickly my pc is really cool all around the highest tempeture is 45 and that is the motherboard so i really dont know is my ram dead? or the 2 other slots on my motherboard died? my other 2 RAM sticks are 1GB DDR2 332Mhz i don't know why they run on so low frequency but they both are 667Mhz sticks my motherboard supports up to 800Mhz of ram

I would suggest you to use the RAMs with same brand and speed, that is if you are using GEIL 1GB DDR2 800Mhz, then use the exact RAM on the other slots too, do no use 2 RAMs with different speed.
