Which mother board is better

Hi I am getting a 1231 Xeon , I know it's not over clock able but later on I might get a better CPU and possible another gpu for sli.

Which mother Board is better , both I can afford but which is better

ASRock Mod 1150 ASRock Z97X Killer ATX Motherboard

Gigabyte Z97X-SLI Intel LGA1150 Z97 ATX Motherboard

I would take asrock z97x killer out of those two. You don't z97 unless your overclocking or sliing. I would recommend h97 chipset instead.

I have a method to pick between equally performing products.
Go to newegg and find the candidates.
Filter on the most reviews by verified buyers.
Then look at what percent of the reviews have zero or one eggs indicating some sort of a problem.
In particular, look at the reasons for a bad review. Some are not very valid, so exclude those.

By that method, I would pick the asrock.

But... since you are buying both a new cpu and a motherboard, I suggest you rethink your plan.
A i5-6600K and a Z170 motherboard will perform better and cost the same.
