Basically i bought my first gaming pc last january and im still new into somethings. I decided to get an Asus gtx 760, they installed the drivers that came with the disc(dont know if they did install the updated drivers as i was out while they assembled the PC). The next day when i plan to get the newly assembled pc i found a MSI R9 280x and thought since im gaming at 1080p an extra 1gb vram might come in handy so i told the shop owner to replace the gtx 760 > 280x.

Pretty much they didnt uninstall the drivers that was installed by the disc of 760 and just installed the drivers of the 280x. After everything is set went home, installed games and so far didnt have any problems.

Twas until recently something i dont know happened to the gpu, brought it to and they decided since it was still on the warranty to RMA it. Uninstalled the gpu drivers via control panel and installed the integrated GPU of my i5-4690k.

I got two questions:
1. since they uninstalled the gpu drivers why do i still see AMD External Events like (AMD External Events Client/Service Module, AMD Ex Events Utility) on processes? How would i be able to completely remove this?
2. When the RMAed card is back i know i should uninstall the iGPU first before installing the 280x right? what software or application should i use?

Sorry for the long post and Thanks in advance

with amd and nvidia and all vendors of drivers and software there installing junk with there drivers now. a lot of the junk is automatic feedback and auto updating drivers. (spam). you have to go look under add/remove programs for anything thta says amd now or nvidia to remove it all. with the ipgpu drivers there called intel video drivers in the add/remove programs.

Display driver uninstaller will do all that for you :) (Just a safety net really, but a good one).

DDU will also do that for you as well :) Anything AMD/Nvidia/Intel. Just select which drivers you wish to remove from the drop down list choice. Remember that it must be used in safe mode, but it will do this automatically for you as well if you execute the program.
