Hi guys!
I want to upgrade my AGP card for my ancient PC.I would like to play at least Fallout 3,Minecraft(smooth) and Oblivion.
My actual specs:
CPU:AMD Sempron 2600+ 1,3 GHZ
GPU:Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 440 AGP 8x
RAM:1 GB (It had 256 MB)
And thats it ..I was thinking of a HD 3650,but I'm not sure if it'll fit with my PC. So what would be the best? If they are more ,please give me more examples. Thanks! I'm sorry for my broken english,it's not my native language.

your mostly limited by what is available to buy. new ones have not been made in a long time so they are very limited in stock. used ones are easy to find but can be expensive.

i put an hd4670 (i think it was) in and old xp machine last year as it was the best new card i could find. it worked well in the old system. if you are going used, then just get the best you can for a good price. i think the 8800 was the best agp card made but those can be crazy expensive used. you're going to have to do your homework on size of the card to ensure it fits but the agp cards were before the card size exploded so fit should not really be a problem.

Oh..I think a 4670 is pretty too much for my pc..I don't want to spend 150€ for that graphics card, assuming that my CPU is sooo slow. Some good 256-512 V MB RAM that are easier to fi nd and doesn't cost more than 70 dollars?

not knowing what you can find and what price it will be, keeps me from offering anything more than a basic idea. the 4670 i put in was a pentium 4 single core cpu and it handled the card fine. i don't think that is much more than the sempron you have.

less card should cost less money of course but dealing with these old cards i can't be sure. one of the older hd 3*** series is more than ample but not sure it will allow you to play the games you want to play. your on the bottom of the min requirements scale either way.

I think it will.I heard that can run crysis very well..Anyway,my bottleneck is the graphics card.Because of it i cant play anything more than 2004,so it will be ok if i can play games from 2007-2008 with low settings.Fall-out 3 ,Portal 1,CS:Source, Oblivion and many games
that i tried needed 128 VMBRAM and DirectX 8.1 support. So I think i wil get something with 256-512 VRAM and at least DirectX 9.c support.
Can you give me some examples of cards wich are equivalent to HD 3650?Nvidia would be great, but ATI or other things should be ok too.
