So I recently bought a pre-built gaming PC from cybertronpc. (I know, I should have built my own) It is the 5150 Unleashed IV GM1224F model. I bought it from Amazon since it fit my budget. You can look up the specs here,

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JB2LXYU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Or if you dont want to look that up, these are the specs that I know what to list below.

Specs are:
AMD FX 6300 3.5GHz Hexa Core
AMD 760G Chipset
8GB DDR3
Radeon R7 260x 1GB Vid Card

Its a nice pre-built, but I am new at the PC Gaming world. I've been playing the game "RUST" for about two weeks and I notice poor performance (FPS) while in battle. Now, I know its a game in its Alpha stages but I liked the game so much I want to play it often. I looked into overclocking to somewhat fix the problem, but I am not confident in doing so without damaging my new PC.

Another thing I'm unsure about:
I bought the PC thinking it was coming with the base AMD Radeon R7 260x. But the paperwork that came with the PC tells me that I have the XFX version of the R7 card. Which has different specs. Anyway I can tell what I really have?

My question to this community is:
Is there anyway I can safely overclock my graphics and CPU to play the game smoothly as well as other games I will purchase in the future. If so, I may need a walkthrough or very detailed instructions (going back to I am a noob when it comes to PC gaming).

If you can help me in my endeavors, that would be great!

P.S. Sorry for the long post, but your help is very much appreciated...

Are your drivers up to date?? i have a feeling that they used the driver from the CD that comes with the cpu... before overclocking i suggest you get the latest driver... Also check your temperatures while gaming, if they are high without an OC then.... don't OC.. also XFX cards are.... just try to refrain from OC'ing them. Also if you are going to OC check if your PSU will handle it or not.

Overclocking may cause overheating and lowers your gpu life-span so just try to lower your game graphics until you get good performance. dont expect Ultra 4K gaming with that Mid-class graphics card x) , btw never oc xfx cards!
