ok, so this computer i built myself.

2tb hdd
gigabyte motherboard
amd fx-4130 quad core cpu
2x 4gb ram sticks total of 16gb ram
windows 7 ultimate 6b bit
pny nvidia geforce gtx 670
650 watt power supply

this computer used to work flawlessly.

i have plenty of other computers that have none of the following issues.

it all started with my computer going kind of slow. i was also trying to download steam games and updates from microsoft.

my steam gamesd were downloading fine at first, but after completing 15-25 games the downloads would just cycle through repeatedly or stop. when trying to restart them it would instantly stop.

a lot of my windows updates also failed.

i reinstalled windows. seemed to work....but then again after the first 15-25 steam games i had the same issue.

doing some research i found that it could be faulty ram, so i did a test. it failed. removed sticks (had 2 x2gb sticks with the 2 4gb sticks) and they happened to be the faulty sticks. did another test. it passed. no errors.

so i started steam. few games downloaded but then the same issue occurred....cycling and stopping.

though my computer is loading much faster, i noticed whjen im on the internet my net pages and downloads go extremely slow, but my downloads no longer get corrupted (as of yet) they just download very slow.

i figured maybe installing windows with faulty ram might have some how corrupted files from windows or drivers, so yet again i reinstalled windows. same issues. at first the games and net are fine for a while but then the net just slows down and the steam downloads cycle and then stop.

i had an issue where my audio kept popping up telling me a device was plugged in or disconnected. though i havent seen that for a few days now.

games seem to run ok.

i have done tons of scanners and anti virus at different times. macaffee, norton, avira, avast, roguekiller, rkill, spybot s and d, combofix, jrt, and many many many more. same issues.

there have also been a couple times i got a hard driver error. i think it said their might be bad sectors and it ran a test at start up. dont know if anything failed or not. but i doubt my hdd would affect my internet or ram.

i have removed the cmos battery and replaced it after draining the power. didnt help. though that was before removing the faulty sticks.

i really need help.

another thing i should mention is if i turn off m,y pc for a while and come back everything works fine for a little while. maybe 15-30 minutes or so.

+0.125? or -0.125? wont allow me to +1.250 or -1.250

it was set on auto. i was only able to make it move through the options by pressing spacebar. it stopped and wouldnt do anything else after it hit +0.775 on cpu vcore and +0.575 nb core, wouldnt even go back to auto, im not sure what button to press to make it go back.

just found that im able to type it in apparently. so i just typed +1.25 on both cpu vcore and nb core.

EDIT: \after typing that in i restarted and i got a boot failure screen that gave me 3 options, enter bios, restore bios defaults and reboot, restore bios defaults and save.

lan pxe boot option rom? is an option i saw in my bios that is disabled. also saw network stack = disabled? my computer i am trying to fix is on a lan network btw. should i enable either of these?

but then again the internet going slow isnt the only issue ive had. a bad ram stick that might not have been bad is where it all started, but i was having slow internet, corrupted downloads, bsods (only a couple), and a couple times my computer restarted it self and when rebooting it told me there may be corrupt parts of my hdd. dont remember the exact words it used for the hdd error.

the hdd is fine. i tested the ram, removed the sticks it was claiming were bad, computers boots faster now and runs faster while using it, but internet is still extremely slow, downloads arent corrupt (it seems), but are slow, havent seen a bsod yet, but steam doesnt download games, just cycles and stops. do you have any theories on why all this suddenly happened?

i dont see a DOCP option at all in my bios and i have looked in every section, found the dram info and settings, nothing about docp.
