Dell Studio XPS 7100. A rather old but (was) reliable PC! Yesterday I had multiple issues where the screen went black and after a few seconds came back and displayed a message saying the system had recovered from an error with the graphics card. The event log entry says "Driver AMDKMDAP stopped responding and has successfully recovered". It did this loads of times so I went into Ctrl panel/system and tried to update the driver. It found a new driver but during the process went black screen. I left it for ages but it didn't recover so I powered off and back on and got a blue screen after the initial boot. This happened many times so I thought I'd revert to the onboard card so took the massive card out. It now boots into safe mode but when booting into full Windows 7 it goes blue screen again. I suspect its the old drivers but don't know what to do. Help please.
