Im thinking of upgrading to the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 04G-P4-2974-KR 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card

and the Intel Core i7 i7-4790 Quad-core (4 Core) 3.60 GHz Processor.

I have 600w and my motherboard is a Z1-7641

No, seems like that motherboard is an AMD motherboard, so you'll need an Intel chipset motherboard. The wattage of the Psu isn't as important as the quality. If you have a decent quality 600w, you'd be fine. Is there a brand name on the side of the Psu at all?

An H81, B85, H97 or Z97 chipset motherboard would all work. Doesn't cost a lot, think under 80 easy for a decent one, and many can be had for under 70.
