I recently built a budget build for my non primary shop PC. (work long hours want to game a bit during down time).

Build:
Msi A88x-g45
AMD A8 6600k
Corsair 16gb ddr3 2133 (4x4gb)
Gtx 770
Kingston 120gbssd
Corsair CX750m psu
Corsair A70 cpu cooler
Windows 7 home premium

There are 2 games that I want to play at work, which is WoW and Heroes of the Storm.

On both, im getting 10-15fps on LOW settings and nonexistant FPS during encounters or high graphic intensity. Ive updated all drivers, have the Nvidia control panel. everything is set to performance. I just want to be able to play those 2 games lag free and I will be happy. PLEASE HELP!!!

Solution
You need to tell the BIOS to use the PCIe graphics card as the primary device. Also, make sure the monitor is attached to the 770.

If you already made sure of that, see if the CPU is being cooled properly and it's running at full speed when gaming.

We can start looking at more options once you've checked out those things.

Cheers!

Yuka, Cpu is running 33c at idle, and 40 under load. GPU is running 38c at almot all times. I will look into the bios, but have to find another keyboard first as my G510s apparently isnt supported in the BIOS

It looks as if the AMD A8-6600K comes with integrated graphics (AMD Radeon HD 8570D) if it is not detecting the GTX 770 it may be running off of the 8570D. That being said check to see if your GPU is seated in the PCI-E x16 3.0 slot as the other slots below that will revert your GPU to PCI-E 2.0.

I think i may have a bad MoBo. I know the GPU, hdd, and ram are good. after my original post, i noticed the BIOS is only acknowledging 4gb of ram regardless of configuration (ive checked all 4 sticks, and all 4 sticks pass. Found a good deal on an i7 setup... probably going that route... Thanks for the help!
