Hi all!

I'll try to be as short but specific as possible with my problem here.

The issue: After playing a game for a little while (time varies from 10 minutes or longer) I will get occasional mouse and keyboard input lag. What I mean by this is the mouse will start to stutter like it is running low on battery, or the keyboard won't register key presses right away. Another side effect example is when running forward with the W key sometimes my character will continue to run for up to a second or two after I release it. This same kind of input lag does happen occasionally outside of gaming, but is much more rare.

My system:
Currently operating Windows 10 Home Premium
have a i5 2500 cpu
Radeon 5770 gpu
8GB of Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 1600 RAM
240gb Samsung Evo SSD
650W PSU (forget specific model, can check when get home)

So I've been troubleshooting this issue for literally weeks now. Brief recap of everything I've done:

Was running Win7, formatted hardrive and did a complete clean install, didn't fix it.
Triple checked that all drivers are updated and fresh installed, no change.
Disabled every bit of software except the essentials, no change.
Research suggested it was a Win7 issue so I upgraded to Win10, no change.
Research hinted at possible bad RAM, so I replaced my RAM with the model mentioned above, no change.
I've used two different SSDs, no change.
I've tried multiple different USB ports, different models of mouse and keyboards, both wireless and wired, it still happens in every scenario with all equipment.

The reason I posted in the GPU thread is because I THINK it might be an issue with my graphics card when it is under load, possibly even related to when the fans turn on. My reasoning behind this theory is that the issue happens mostly when playing games, after a short period of time. Does that sound like something that can even be an issue, mouse and keyboard input issues with GPU fan being on? My PSU is 650W so it shouldn't be a limiting factor in having enough power to the peripheral devices, right?

I'm pretty much out of ideas on what else could be causing this issue and would REALLY appreciate someone's input or ideas.

Thanks,

Tony

Thanks for the response. I have come across this as a possible issue, and have both enabled and disabled V-Sync, with no impact on the issue.

I should probably mention that I'm not OC'ing any of the hardware, which I know is another potential root cause for people with a similar issue.
