Hey everyone. I picked up a Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980 Ti and I have to say it's a very powerful card. However, there's one strange thing about it and I can't find a solution on the web. When I'm booting into Windows, my main monitor (Iiyama ProLite GB2488HSU) doesn't turn on and tells me that I have to check if the cable is plugged in, but my second monitor (Iiyama ProLite XB2483HSU-B1) does turn on. I also took a picture of it: http://imgur.com/0Pf6V6z Why do the monitors behave like this???

My first monitor is hooked up by a DisplayPort cable and the second monitor by a HDMI cable, but I also used a DVI for the first one and DVI for the second one and many more combinations, but there's always one monitor not turning on. Even more strange is that when the Windows lockscreen appears on the second monitor, the first monitor turns on and works flawlessly from there.

My motherboard is the Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H and I thought well maybe it's the BIOS, but I updated it to the latest version available at the moment (F10c) and I still have the same problem. I didn't experience these issues with my R9 290.

This should work on windows 7, 8.1 and 10.

Right click on your desktop and go to resolution. You'll need to press the detect button once. From there you will be able to choose screen resolutions and which way you want you monitors oriented.

If you have anymore questions. feel free to ask.

Hey William, first of all thanks for your reply ;) I tried to change my BIOS to match the settings you mentioned but then I have another problem: my PC doesn't detect any bootable drives. When I enable CSM only 1 monitor turns on but Windows is booting and when I disable CSM both monitors turn on but my PC says that there isn't a bootable drive installed...

Here are some pics

Yeah, unfortunately when Windows is installed in UEFI mode, it has to stay that way, and vice versa.

My computer is just like your second screenshot. A UEFI install needs your Windows Install USB to be setup as GPT partition style on a FAT32. I used Rufus to make my bootable Windows USB stick.

If you do not want to reinstall, you must stick with the old setting.

Okay mate, thanks for your reply! So which settings should I use in Rufus to create a bootable USB Drive if I want to use the ''Windows 8 features'' and turn off ''CMS support'' so I can see both monitors during boot?
