Hi, I want to choose components to build a pc gamer. Shall I use this ones?
Intel I5 4690
Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H (Should I get the Black edition?)
Nvidia GTX 970 Gigabyte Gaming G1
WD Blue 1TB
x2 8gb Corsair Vengance 2400MHz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master HyperX 212 Evo
PSU: Cooler Master750V
Corsair Obsidian 450D

I think I am not going to overvlock.
Im from South America so I cant get all kind of components, but thats not a problem.

Thanks

If he plans on SLI then he needs the z97 board. The board and PSU seem to indicate he wants SLI support. If he doesnt want SLI then he could drop down to a h97 or b85 board and a smaller PSU.

Im not planing to SLI, but I want to have a good PSU for the future. Also I had it a bit difficult to find other PSUs.
Why should I get one of those motherboards?

If you're not overclocking, stick with 1600MHz on the RAM. 16GB is probably more than you need. If you're not planning to SLI, get pretty much any 8- or 9-series board from your favorite manufacturer that you like. I don't really want to recommend something you can't get. You also don't need a 750W PSU for a single graphics card and a stock-clocked CPU. The 970 is pretty efficient, so a decent 450W would work just fine, but you may as well go for 550 or so for extra headroom since it won't be much more money.

Thanks 80-watt Hamster. How can I know the series of the motherboard? What about this motherboard?

My budget is abled to be a bit larger, like 1100.

That' s a decent board. If you want the systemto be quiter you could keep the 212 as the stock coolers can get loud. You could drop down to ddr3 1600Mhz( I suggest ram with a cas of 9 or lower). For a PSU a 500w unit from tier 1 or 2 would easily power the system.

Ok. Is it worth it to buy a good PSU now so it lasts longer? May 1600MHz be a bit low? What about 1866MHz? I just want to know

A good psu is crucial for system stability and longevity. The motherboard only supports up to ddr3 1600, and in gaming there's is going to be little to no difference between ddr3 1866 and 1600 as long as the 1600 doesn't have an absurdly high cas.

You are right! I didnt realise the max MHz of ram that the Motherboard can accept. It would had been a waste of money.
Thanks a lot.

This is excellent advice. I'll clarify some terms here as well, going back to question in an earlier post: The "series" in recent Intel boards is the first number (or two numbers as of Skylake) after the letter of the chipset. 8-series boards are B81, H81, B85, Z87, etc. Likewise, 9-series are H97 and Z97. bignastyid mentioned cas, a.k.a. CAS latency. You'll see this listed on RAM as CAS 8, CAS 9 or higher. If you're looking at the same speed of RAM, i.e. all 1600MHz, a lower CAS will mean slightly better performance, though you probably won't notice. The main benefit in my experience is that manufacturers use better chips for lower CAS latency modules, and 9 is a good number for 1600MHz to get decent sticks without costing too much.

I will suggest you to buy Asus H97M-E motherboard. It allows you to use Broadwell processor after the BIOS update; in case you plan to upgrade the processor.
