So I want to buy a new PC and I was wondering when I should buy the parts. Someone told me to make a forum when i was going to buy it. So is November better, or wait until December?

Solution

When to buy? When you need them and can afford them.
The hype around November/December is just that....hype.

Will your desired parts be on sale at some random day in November? Maybe.
Might you miss that one day? Yes.
Might you be waiting until January? Yes.

I've gotten better deals in August vs November.
Bought in August for $80. In November, it was $95, ON SALE-Reduced from $110!!! Save 15%!!

Black Friday you can typically save $150 on a $1000 build. ~15% off in other words. This is not true for Brand New products though. They will often try to liquidate the cheaper and slightly older products. If you want the newest or best, just buy it now.

There are marginal deals to be had for PC parts during black Friday/Christmas season but for actually parts the "huge savings" are just no there.

The big savings items are hole computers, or external hard drives or things for the masses, they are not going to put the high end GPU on sale because they don't need to.

The best time to find a deal on computer parts is generation/product line changes

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are concepts, not dates.
"Black Friday" lasts from 1 November until 15 January.

"Black Friday" is the theoretical date when a company that earns a 10% profit for the year is actually in the black. 10% of 365 is 36 days. Right around Thanksgiving. A lot of people have a 4 day weekend, so...the day after Thanksgiving, being a Friday, becomes a big shopping day.

Cyber Monday came about due to people (years ago) having a much better internet connection at work than at home. So they would go online at work the Monday after the 4 day weekend. Online retailers noticed this sales bump, and writers picked up on it. So now 'Cyber Monday' is a "thing".

In reality...BF and CM are just names for sales of random old stuff between 1 Nov and 15 Jan.

You should buy the parts you want, for the price you want to pay, on the day when you have the money available.
There is no special 'day' for your selected parts.

Ok thanks for your help.

IMO, if you are a newbie builder, try to build your box within a month regardless of the cost. You buy bit and pieces now and then, 5 months down the road when you got everything to build just to find out a piece is bad, or wrong and then it's too late to return it. More experienced builders, we know where the risks are and take more proper approach.
