Hey all!
So I recently bought a second hand Motherboard and CPU, The motherboard is a Asus Sabertooth x58 and the cpu is a i7-950 (1366 chipset).
Here is a list of all the other parts I have.
Asus Geforce GTX 680 graphics card
2x 4Gb Corsair vengeance 1866
2tb Toshiba HDD
750 Watt corsair power supply gold
So here's what happens when I try to boot after installing all parts (correctly, I double/triple check all connections) The pc turns on for about 5-6 seconds, Both the RAM light and CPU light are solid red then the power supply trips and the PC just reboots, once it's tripped it just powers up but nothing happens other than the cpu and RAM lights still solid red and the CPU/GPU fans spinning faster to cool it down over time, I can't access the BIOS even after I've reset the CMOS via the 3-pin header, I've even removed the battery to 'Kill' the boards memory but everything I try comes to no avail, In a second i'll be trying the beep test on the motherbaord
Things i've tried to do to fix the problem include
-Changing number of ran used in the motherboard, As well as different slots
- Resetting the CMOS of the motherboard in several ways
-I've tried running with no GPU
Any advice would be great, I'll post the updates of the beep test once ive done it
