hey guys,

First of all sorry for my bad English.
I just bought a extra case fan and just like the case fan that came with my case it only has a 3pin connector and my motherboard has a 4pin. I plugged them into the 4pin of my motherboard but I don't think its the right way. If I start my pc the red leds are a lot more brighter for 1 second. please tell me what to do.

this is the case fan: https://www.alternate.nl/Enermax/UCTA12N-R-T-B-Apollish-Case-fan-/html/product/784224?

my motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-Gaming 5
my case: Corsair Carbide Series® SPEC-01 Red LED

A 3 pin fan will still work on a 4 pin fan header but it just run like a 3 pin fan header. It is keyed to plug in the fan plug one way.
With your motherboard, it is possible that you can control how the voltage that goes into the fan, if you want the full speed, change it in the bios to run at performance/ 12V.
