Hewlett-Packard 3029h Mainboard (AM2 Socket Type) fits in AMD FX X8 8300, 3300 MHz, socket AM3+ ?

I'm sorry if somebody posted this question before, but I'm about to buy a new processor (AMD FX X8 8300, 3300 MHz, socket AM3+) and I need to know will it fit to my motherboard (Hewlett-Packard 3029h (AM2 Socket Type)). If not, can someone explain me why.

AMD FX X8 8300, 3300 MHz, socket AM3+ does not fit an AM2 socket.
Also, AM3+ processors do not support the use of DDR2 memory.

You need an AM3+ motherboard.

For example,

A Micro-ATX motherboard fits a Mini-Tower case or a larger Mid-Tower case.
I would suggest spending $30 on a bare PC case.
