Pardon the confusing wall of text..

I just came back from work and found that my PC won't turn on. I Moved it to another socket to see if it fixed itself. It didn't. I replaced the fuse in the plug (13A UK socket/plug) and the PC turned on, so I turned it off with the power button again after like 5 seconds and plugged it back into my desk socket. It won't turn on again. Now I moved it back to the testing socket and that won't work either, however I think electricity is running into it because I checked with an AC voltage detector, so I don't think my desk socket is blowing out my fuses. Maybe the power button is broken ? II have been having some issues with turning on my PC recently, mostly with having to press the power button harder before it works. Is that the problem then?
