WiFi Won't Turn On Gateway NV71B Updated to 8.1

I updated my Gateway to 8.1 and when I did I lost the ability to connect wifi to internet. The key is grayed out and I have tried the FN keys and they dont work either. Please Help

Have you checked the device manager to see if there are any exclamation points? It is quite possible the driver for the WIFI card will need to be installed.

When I go into the device manaager it says that my WiFi is on but when I use the side bar and pull up the wireless it is grayed out and it wont switch. There is no external switch for WiFi and the FN keys wont work either.

I apologize I am not the most computer literate person but when I am in the device manager which category do I click on to expand it. I don't see any exclamation marks.

If you don't see any exclamation points, then there is no hardware with NO driver. It might not have the best, but it has something. There should be a category of network devices. -- I don't use Win 8.x so I am just guessing from here.

I am checking on a few things give me a couple minutes and I will let you know if I got it resolved.
It is checking for driver updates and it just continues to work it won't stop. Can I send you a pic?
