XFX R9 390 or Palit GTX970?

Hey guys, i have searched many forums and websites, but i'm still confused on which GPU should i buy, the Palit GTX 970 is very cheap in my country, it also topped the benchmark only lower than inno3d, and the XFX R9 390 is 30$ more expensive.

At first i want to buy the 970 but that 390 8gb vram is much more "future proof" so which one should i buy? Thanks

if the amd one would have been a sapphire one it would have been better to go with the r9 390, but since its a xfx one (which has issues) i recommend to go with the gtx 970

I could save some money for sapphire, only 10$ more, is the performance really differ that much?
And would the 8gb vram worth it? I'm only playing in 1080p though futureproofing seems a little nice
And what issues does the Xfx have?

xfx has issues like overheating and bad customer support. When it comes to amd gpus sapphire is the way to go. they make very high quality coolers and still remain quiet even in the extreme work loads.

i would say go with the r9 390 then oc it and you could reach gtx 980 performance in some games above 1080p
so if you want to suture proof yourself then buy the r9 390 as dx12 games are better on amd at the moment cause of its async shaders(which nvidia hasn't properly implemented). And 8gigs of gddr5 of course would be more future proof

Oh thanks! I'll go for 390 then, what about the powercolor one? Is it bad?

Sapphire is by far the better brand. They build quality products and are the largest AMD graphics card supplier in the world. Powercolor is relatively new and isnt as big. Power color are meant to be cheap and more affordable, for better competition. Both will work great but ,if you have the money, I would choose Sapphire.
