Difference between two 8 GB ram kits (Links)

Solution
One has tall heat spreaders, and one has very short heat spreaders. At 1600 speed memory only using 1.5 volts, no heat spreader is needed. So having big tall heat spreaders just makes things harder to deal with on the inside of your case... Namely, by making the CPU Cooler harder to install if you have a third party one.

What is interesting is that the one with the short heat spreader costs more than the kit with the big tall kit. And that makes no sense. Those tall fins cost more money to make than the small ones. Even with that, I would still recommend the shorter kit over the taller ones at 1600 speed memory.

FYI, I have 16GB of 2667 speed memory in my system which uses 1.65 volts, and even at that, I still have memory with very...
