delete efi system partition

Hi

I'm just curious what will happened if i delete ESP (EFI System Partition) in my acer iconia w3 810 to free up the ssd space

My acer iconia w3 810 32gb model has UEFI Bios

If i delete it, will my bios become corrupted?

I saw many people on forums are trying to delete this partition with diskpart.

Thanks.

it's just a 200mb partition, NOW I already delete it and make new 100mb EFI partition using diskpart on it, and it works great without any errors :)

i delete that partition to make my drive clean and have neat partition
delete all partition in my w3 ssd, make new partiton for EFI and Windows 10, and reinstall win 10 from scratch

There are supposed to be 2 system partitions from the manufacturer. One will contain the stuff needed for OEM's custom restore and stuff.. and the other will be Windows's EFI boot partition.
You can safely delete the second. It's just responsible for booting your Operating System.
And as USAFRet said, installing a new windows OS will create its own ESP.

Coming to the second question, it depends on the mother board. If UEFI is supported, then you can boot into either legacy or UEFI mode. If it's an old mobo, UEFI won't be available

I don't really know about that.
I saw a couple of laptops with "insyde h2o BIOS" booting into UEFI like any other PC or laptop. and you could go into the BIOS to switch between Legacy mode and UEFI mode whenever you like.
That's all I know.
