Hi, I'm currently using a Sv Sapphire Hd6870 card, but I would like to buy a new one.
Unfortunately I'm not an expert on pc building, and I'm afraid I would end up buying a card not compatible with my pc. It was assembled in 2012.

-My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-A75M-UD2H, it has surely a PCIEX16 and PCI Express 2.0 slots. Maybe there are more.
-My power supply is a Seasonic S12II-520 Bronze. It has 520W.
-PC RAM is 8gb.
-Monitor resolution is 1920x1080.
-My CPU is AMD Athlon II X4 651 Llano 32nm Technology

I'm not looking for an high-end graphics card, just one better than the Hd6870 and that can play most of current games at high settings.

My budget is 100-200 €.

Thank you.

Well, at that pricepoint, you're either looking at getting a GTX 750 Ti or spend a little bit more and get a GTX 960. You can also get AMD cards if you have the power supply for them, the 380 and 370.

What region are you from? UK or US?

Any preferences on any online/real life dealer?

I'm actually from Italy, I prefer to buy it online, most likely from Amazon, or some other retailer.

My CPU is AMD Athlon II X4 651 Llano 32nm Technology

I looked for a R9 380 but I noticed several different manufacters, for example Sapphire, MSI, XFX, Gigabyte.
What's the difference among them?

Select the one that looks most appealing to your OR the one that brings you more benefits, like extended warranty, included games, better power delivery...

If I had to recommend one myself, I'd probably go for this: XFX R9 380 DD Core Edition 4GB

Or this: Msi R9 380 GAMING 4GB

Don't go for the 2GB version because, for a few dollars more, you can avoid upgrading in the future due to more games coming out in 2015 and beyond, requiring more than 2GB of RAM at 1080P, this way you would be set for a good while, much like (I assume) your 6870 served you a good few years.

I looked at the XFX R9 380 DD Core Edition 4GB specs, it says it requires 750 watt, so I guess my current power supply is not enough?
Then its bus type is a PCI-E 3.0. On my motherboard I have PCIEX16 and PCI Express 2.0 slots. Are they compatible with 3.0?

Yes, PCI is backwards compatible. Also yes that may be an issue. You can also look into GTX 960s, those won't demand almost anything from your power supply.

Thanks for your help, I ended up buying an ASUS GTX 750 Ti OC, I found it cheaply. I know it will be most likely be outdated very quickly, but I don't want to invest on a 4GB graphics card yet.
Thanks for all the suggestion though!

You should consider a new power supplier, taking it that my GTX 770 is using 220watts underload i burned my old 550 watts Power supplier and had to switch to a 900 one, so consider that.
