Best Graphics Card for my current CPU?

I'm looking to upgrade my video card ▬XFX CORE Edition Radeon HD 7770 FX-777A-ZNF4 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP▬ so that i can actually play some newer games with a decent FPS. I currently have an ▬AMD A6-3650 Llano Quad-Core 2.6 GHz Socket FM1 100W AD3650WNGXBOX▬ which isn't a bad CPU for gaming. I also have 8GB of Ram and a 600W ThermalTake power supply.

I have like $300-$330 to spend on a graphics card that will ALSO be going into my custom built PC sometime next year. I'd like to avoid the R9 270 range of cards because there's no way that's going into my new computer. I'd also prefer an Nvidia card so i can avoid having to upgrade my PSU as well. I'd really appreciate some advice on this.

Solution
Both cards are excellent choices, and neither is significantly better then the other. The MSI GTX 970 is one excellent graphics card on it's power draw/performance ratio.
yes your power supply is poor, but if not planning to overclock this would be able to support this card, and would be my recommendation for it's overall best raw performance for the price:

Asus R9 390 Strix 8GB GDDR5: $320

If wanting to go for a very close running Nvidia counterpart, which is slightly over your budget I would recommend the;

MSI Gaming GTX 970 4GB GDDR5: $350

Both are excellent choices, but before purchasing any card you must make sure that your case can fit it.

To also note there is only a bottleneck with the CPU if it is running at or close to 100% usage or if throttling at a way too high temperature. If currently not the case, there simply is no bottleneck with the CPU.

I'm going to have to be the negative person here. I can't see a recommendation over a 760 GTX or a 960 GTX. You're already going to have some bottleneck if you ran either of those GPUs. Anything higher just increases the bottleneck. The CPU is the weak point.

But, if you're going to build new next year. Just do it.

Yea i don't think the R9 390 would play too well with my PSU but i was looking at that MSI Gaming GTX 970 4GB for $350.

I'm not gonna be overclocking anything. And i can also deal with lower settings/resolution just so i can make the 60FPS/Avg consistently. Can you recommend a GTX 960 from newegg?

Yea it's a pretty decent power difference and i think i'd be more comfortable going with Nvidia right now just to play it safe as far as the PSU requirements go.

its a good idea to get a 970 now, for when you upgrade later

just be aware that your little a6 will most likely not allow you to get 60 fps average in most games.

more like 30 fps average with dips, it really isnt very good for gaming

Thanks for the quick responses guys. I'm gonna go with the 970 and TRY to get a new MB/CPU sooner than later
