I have the XSPC water cooling kit (http://www.xs-pc.com/watercooling-kits/raystorm-d5-ex240-watercooling-kit) that is compatible with LG1150. I'm thinking of getting an i5-6600K soon and need help figuring out if my current XSPC water cooling kit could be able to fit onto the LG1151 socket.

Thanks for your help guys!

The pattern is the same, you are good as to fit.
But, the 14nm runs so much cooler that you will run out of safe vcore voltage before you reach thermal limits.
Liquid cpu cooling looks like it will be near obsolete with Skylake.

But the OP already has it. Are you suggesting that the OP changes to air?

Not at all.
But new Skylake users may want to opt in the future for a cheaper and quieter option than liquid.
I actually changed from a Huge noctua NH-D14 to a smaller NH-L12 which fit better in my case with no reduction in effective cooling.
