My brother had a HD 7770, i3 2120 3.3 GHz and Windows 7 64bit and he was running games such as Red Orchestra 2 and Mount & Blade: Warband fine, always over 60 fps. Now he upgraded his video card to R9 270x and his OS to Windows 10 Pro 64bit and he is running both of the games i mentioned earlier average 40 fps. We have installed every driver we could think of (Newest drivers we could find and that would be supported for H61 mobo, newest version of Catalyst, and updating any other outdated drivers with Driver Booster 2).
We also tried running the games in Windows 7 compatibility mode and it didn't do much and the games still won't run as well as they used to.
I have Windows 10 and upgraded from Win7 as well and i haven't experienced much change in FPS. Any ideas what could be the reason behind this? Maybe we have forgotten something important, he did a clean install when he did the upgrade to Win10.
