Can i use a bad graphics card with a good cpu

I am going to build my PC and as I am a bit short on cash atm I am going to upgrade in the future. Atm I am looking at getting the intel i5 4690 , 8gb of ram and a gt 610 will this work? I will upgrade in the future to a much better graphics card but I don't know if this will work or run a 1080p screen? Plz help

it will work, but don't expect to run any game at a normal frame rate

The iGPU integrated into that CPU has much better performance than a GT 610. Yes it will be compatible, but there is no point.

Why waste money on a gt610? The integrated HD4600 on the i5 is better.

Agree with Bignastyid and wonder if you would be better getting a K processor for OC as well.
