2yrs-2mos ago I purchased a Acer Aspire azs600-308ur from Staples($679).Told by Acer CUSTOMER CARE they could repair it for$400 plus shipping Fl.-Cal-Cal-FL> but he . thought it best to junk it because it wasn't worth it. I just love it when CUSTOMER CARE is looking out for me. As a 77yr old, I sick of this "planned obsolescence". There is no other answer. I have a 32" Hitachi TV purchased in 1989 and its as good as the day I bought it and never a repair. Enough complaining. I haven't been able to locate anything on the net. Maybe not looking in right place. Possible Gateway might use same board on other models??? Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Proprietary system failing in all its' glory leaving you with no options. This is typical of all-in-one systems, which are basically giant laptops. A search of Ebay turned up nothing on this for a mainboard. No reason for anyone else to have the board except the manufacturer and maybe an authorized service center. I'm unaware of any exceptions to this. You'd be better off investing in a new desktop system that can actually be fixed and/or upgraded as time goes by. A store bought desktop will also have limited upgrade opportunities and proprietary design of some type in most cases. A custom build by a store would be a bit better and home built is the best. You have total control of all parts.
