I tried taking the battery out and disassembling and assembling it again and nothing has happen. The pc won't start no lights are cutting on no display is giving and the case isn't lighting up is it my power supply? I thought it wasn't because my psu is brand new

Try paper clip test on psu.....

Here look at the lga1156 and lga 1150 socket pin diagram, they are not same.
lga1156 http://www.cpu-world.com/Sockets/L_LGA1156-top.jpg
lag 1150 http://techreport.com/r.x/core-i7-4770k/socket-pins.jpg
Also you can see the functions of the pin in the socket are not same. http://www.techpowerup.com/img/11-11-09/43b.jpg ( I can't find lga1156 ). When you put the i5-750 into the z87 MB, you may damage either the MB or the cpu, or both of them, or they may not be damaged. You should test the cpu or MB first to see which one maybe damaged or not.

If you buy the new MB already, and the pc still doesn't boot, what cpu do you have? also which MB did you buy? Without those detail we can't help. because you may need the newer BIOS for the haswell refresh lga1150 cpu if the new MB is the Z-8 series MB. Or something else.
