Canon t3i or t5? Need help.

I make films and takes lots of pictures. These two are both in my budget but whats better? For those wanting to know my budget it $300-500. I would assume the Canon T5 Is newer than the t3i but with the way some companies are they might do the numbering backwards. Which one is better? Or do you have any other canon dslr camera suggestions? Maybe even nikon?

the t3i is better for movies then the t5. the t3i has a flip out screen and audio in for
external mics. and for nikon I would recommend the Nikon D3300 because it has 24MP sensor
and records full HD 1080p up to 60 frames per second.
