BF4 lags/fps drop

Hello,

I have some problems with BF4 it is not playable for me.
i have around 80-120 fps but every 5sec or when i try to react fast i get a fps drop for 0.5 sec to 0 or 10 fps so the game is not playable at al.

i tryed a lot of things like removing Afterburner and repair game, also turned mantle of (worked great for 1 day).

Does anyone know a fix for this

pc specs:

Intel core i5 4570
XFX R9 390
8gb RAM
1tb WD blue HDD

Do you monitor temps?


sounds like your cpu is throttling


that or your hdd is going bad, run the manufacturer's health tool


it could also be insufficient power supply

So you fixed that issue? What GPU driver and OS are you using? And what was previous OS? I have exact same hardware as you do and I have stuttering problems in Witcher 3 and CS:GO

I unparked my cpu cores and THE probleem was over. My temps are perfect and no hdd failure. I also disabled some services in Windows zo the OS would not eat cpu and HDD usage in the background ( BITS services keeps syncing msn and Windows update in the background so i disabled it.)

I hope thuis helpt you out ( oh and i uwe all the nee drivers avalible )
