First time build,Will my cpu work with my mobo ?

Hey,Guys

Recently i bought A Motherboard and cpu (linked below) on Amazon,This was my first build and I was keen on getting this project finished,I noticed Apon arrival of these products that the cpu and fan did not line up nor fit on the mobo,Maybe I am just being to paranoid as this is my first build and i don't want to mess it up.
So I would like to know if these are compatible,Also what am i doing wrong if so ?

Not compatible.
Different socket. Motherboard is for socket AM3+ and the cpu is for socket FM2.

Since it's your first build, list what you have just in case.

As Suztera said, the CPU is of socket FM2 while the motherboard is for AM3+ socket. So, not compatible. Pick a motherboard with FM2 socket.
For example you can pick one from these:

While picking the motherboard, do make sure that the motherboard will fit inside your cabinet. One way of doing this is to check the form factors supported by your cabinet and the form factor of your motherboard. For example, if your cabinet supports upto ATX form factor, you can install motherboards of form factors mini ITX, micro ATX, ATX.
