Faulty PSU to blame?

I just bought a new case for my PC (Corsair 500r), along with a new ssd. I decided to make the transition yesterday, and spent the entire day transferring the components to the new case, making sure to take pictures of all connections etc to ensure they were the same in the new case.

Long story short, my hdd is not being recognised, so no boot-up. I kept the ssd disconnected for the first boot-up to ensure everything was working. A little bit of trouble shooting and it seems that my sata connecters from my psu are delivering no power. This is just a guess though.

The led's on my case light up, the fan plugged directly into the mobo works, and the gfx card all power up. The fans connected through a molex pin don't work, and nor do either hard drive, nor my optical drives.

Is it possible for only the sata and molex cables on the psu to not work, whilst the mobo receives power? I've been watching video after video and trying to clue myself into this whole pc building thing, and I simply have no idea why the harddrive would not be booting.

The PSU is a Novatech Black edition 750w. It has 2 sata power strips with 3 connectors each, and neither seems to work. The molex won't power the case fans either. Advice please.

yeah that can happen. The connectors might get damaged during transition. But all at once is a little odd. Still i suggest to take it to a local store to test the psu, because anything can happen here, it may catch fire..

No. I've tried with and without data cables, and both sata power wires, no response. I'd understand it more if the PSU was just dead, but the mobo is powered.

I guess I'll have to, thanks.
