Hello guys, I need a little help. I currently have a r9 280X from Gigabyte running with FX-8320 OC'd to 4.2Ghz on a be quiet! PURE POWER L8 600W. Currently I have no problems whatsoever but I will be exchanging the 280X for a 290 which I know requires a bit more power. Will that PSU of mine handle the 290? Thank you for help.

It's only 25W more. I would want a better PSU than that in the first place. Your total system should not exceed 450W at high load.

Turn off the OC and you will be fine with the 290 and the , be quiet! PURE POWER L8 600 watt.

The base clock for a FX 8320 is 3.5 Ghz isn't it? The 8350's base is 4.0Ghz., so you have a 700Mhz overclock. How much did you have to raise the voltage?

That's only a tad over your Turbo of 4.0 ghz. , so it's not making much of a difference in performance , so I would take it back to stock and run the 290.
