Hi all,

Looking for some suggestions as quite frankly I have no clue on this issue.

All started on Saturday evening all I was doing at the time was watching a film at the time. My PC shut down unexpectedly and has been unable to detect any drive since.

I have done the following so far

Tried different sata cables
Tried different sata power cables
Disassembled and reconnected everything
Tried several hard drives and ssd drives
Disabled the on board sata controller and used a pci express one

Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I hope it is just something obvious which I am missing

Hi there AlexHellen,

So you've tried: different cables, different ports and different drives right? If this is the case, you may need to look at a different direction. :)
Does your system powers down or you get some sort of a BSOD?

- It could be your PSU that is causing this. Unfortunately, the easiest way to see whether this is the case is to just borrow one from somebody and install it in your system.
- You can measure your system temps as well.
