I had the room slightly flooded and my computer and laptop cables were lying on the floor. Before the flood I disconnected my cpu (and everything connected to outlets in the room) and took it to a safe place. Unfortunately I just left the cables that were connected to the cpu lying on the floor (power chords, hdmi, vga, keyboard, etc) so after some hours I picked them up and they were a little wet only on the tip mostly. The water level was just some milimetres high so they didn't go completely under water. My question is, are they still usable or I shouldn't risk connecting them? A day has passed and they are completely dry now. I remark everything was unplugged from wall outlets before everything happened so the power chords remained plugged only to the extended outlets when the water got in.
The laptop Charger brick was lying on the floor all that time also so it got the base surface wet only, and the part that connects to the laptop was also partly floating on water.
Now I am with my cpu working in another place with another power chord but later I should use my own. Laptops batter life is also close to finish.
So what do yout hink? Will there be a problem to use those cables?
Thanks!

I wouldn't risk it to be honest, the water getting into the power brick sounds risky. You'd be fine with display cables and such, but I wouldn't risk with power cables.

If the cable part only got wet then you could use that all day long, as cables are waterproof, but obviously the ends and any parts along the cable aren't.
