I have a WD Black 1TB drive that is down to 300 GB of space left. I am looking for 2 things, and don't want to put a fortune into it. Recently I had a crucial ssd that failed and lost a few things. Un-fortunately I didn't have my OS backed up, so I had to re-install Windows 7. Which was time consuming. So I need the following:
1) Some kind of external device to back-up my system and Files
2) Extra storage for my Video's and Photo's.
My question is this... Can I use the WD Elements for both? Also, is this drive good for using when I am editing videos and Post Processing Photo's in Lightroom, or would it be too slow for this?
