What does the RAM MHz mean exactly? I currently have 16GB of RAM but it runs at a MHz of 666MHz according to Speccy which is slow compared to what I see market now. Will this have a impact on in game performance?

I really hate the fact that RAM manufactures use the "megatransfers" number and call it Mhz a lot of the time. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there no actually "1866mhz, 2133mhz, 2400mhz" RAM, and that is actually 1866MT, 2133MT and 2400MT? for instance my 1866 RAM is actually running at 900something Mhz.

Don't confuse the issue please :) If you install 1866 RAM, and the system boots and says 1866, then it is using the RAM at rated speed.

Really so getting better quality RAM would increase performance? I'm using a i5 4590 and a R9 270X atm but what do you mean my RAM is running at 1333Mhz?
