i3 3220 bottleneck r9 380 or gtx 960?

Hi everyone, I am deciding weather to buy the r9 380 or gtx 960. I have seen many benchmarks done and it seems to me that the r9 380 seems to always come out on top. I was about to buy this card but then I thought about my i3 cpu, will it be a bottleneck? Should I just go with the gtx 750ti and wait to get an i5 and r9 380? Answers would be much appreciated!
My Specs
CPU: i3 3220
GPU: intel hd 2500
PSU: EVGA 500w
RAM: 12gb crucial 1600mhz

i would suggest getting the r9 280x as its cheaper than both the gtx 960 and the r9 380 and its better than them, the i3 wont really bottleneck the system, the performance will be slow because its an old cpu and not because its bottlenecking the rest of the system
