The question is in the title, is this PSU reliable? My current psu seems reliable being a thermaltake but it doesn't support my "Geforce GTX 970" power peaks only supplying 600w. I want a beast of a PSU and one that can withstand future upgrades (maybe SLI, maybe an insane MoBo and CPU)

Summary from jonnyguru

Once again, EVGA has demonstrated that they are no company to be trifled with in the power supply business. They're starting to dominate the market to the extent Corsair was not too long ago, as evidenced by the seven review samples I still have sitting on the shelf. Now, if a few other companies would start sending units again, like, say... XFX... that would be greeeeeeat.

The Good:

awesome low load efficiency
better than excellent load regulation
nice price
long warranty (you have to register, but still...)
tons of modular cables
excellent ripple control
