Does the type of ethernet cable really matter if it is ethernet instead of wifi?

Basically will different ethernet cables affect performance drastically? Also, what is the best ethernet cable (if it matters)?

For example, is 350mz good, or does cat5e vs cat6 matter? Stuff like that.

(Also please tell me what category to put wifi and ethernet subjects under, I didn't see anything so I just put motherboards)

Ethernet/Wifi subjects would fall under networking typically. Cable quality can affect performance to a point, the cable (assuming it works) in 99.9% of cases should not be the limiting factor in your network performance however.

Cat5e will be fine.

Cat 5e or even Cat 5 will work in the vast majority of cases. The tighter wraps in 5e or 6 don't really start to matter except with really long cable lengths (think 30-100 meters), or in environments with a large amount of RF noise.
